Getting Ready for the Pet Parade

The big Pet Parade is scheduled for tomorrow at 2 pm down Burro Street. Mountain Monster will be ready for them! We will be serving complimentary hot chocolate (with a donation jar for the Senior Center). We are also offering anyone who comes in with a pet a 10% discount on any of our pet items. "What are those items?" you might ask...

Fantastic dog collars and matching leashes from Lupine. These are quality, Made in the USA products that are "guaranteed even if chewed." You can't beat that!

At Mountain Monster, we strongly believe that every pet should wear a personalized tag. You just never know when they will run off, and this is the best way to get them back if they do! These tags, by Dog Tag Art, are guaranteed for life, Made in the USA, and dog gone cute, too.

To keep your pet styling and safe, the Rubit! is designed to let you easily transfer their tags from one collar to another. No more broken nails on those round rings!

How can you be too busy to blog?

It's easy...decide to expand and move your shop!

That's right, on November 1st Mountain Monster is going to start its big move to the Burro Street Exchange. The size of the shop will TRIPLE and we will be carrying WAY more unique and fun things. We will have gifts and decor, apparel and MORE. As always, I am working hard to source items that are either Made in the USA or Fair Trade. (And don't worry, our wholesale screen printing business will stay up and running throughout the move.)

I have several fantastic items lined up, and more on the way. For example...

For the guy who has everything...I'll bet he doesn't have a YETI cooler yet! (Seriously, how could we NOT carry something named YETI...but they are also the toughest, best cooler you'll ever find.)

For those who truly appreciate some FINE chocolate, you will want to try one of these...they are so good you may have to lock them in your YETI cooler.

This is just a tiny taste of what is to come. Believe me, there are LOTS more...like custom furnishings and accessories, lots and lots of gift items, and of course, our custom t-shirts.

I'll keep posting pictures, but the bottom line is you will just have to check it out when we get it put together. Follow us on facebook (Facebook/MountainMonster) and on this blog for more information on our Grand Opening.

Mountain Monster...your friends won't believe you when you tell them what you saw!

Our Second You Tube video...

Still working on the details and polish, but here is our second you tube attempt.

Building a "Cool" Shirt

Step 1...the white under base.
Getting a retro look on a black shirt takes several steps and LOTS of attention to the details.
Step 2...the red layer.

Step 3...the blue layer (the center circles look more purple now)

Step 4...the yellow layer (around the 107.9)

Step 5...the green layer.

Step 6....the white highlights to make it all pop.

Trail Hankie/Map Available to Order

We've had several inquiries about ordering our Sacramento Ranger District Map online. While we don't have an online cart, if you call the shop during our business hours we can take a credit card over the phone and will gladly ship them. We only ask that you pay the cost of the padded envelope and postage. The maps are $9.95...we'll know the postage when you tell us how many you want. For that matter, we'll ship anything from the shop that you want...just give us a call.

New 94 Key Shirts are Out!

We just did a bunch of really cool shirts for 94 Key (94.3 FM in Alamogordo area). What's even cooler is, they give these shirts away at special events! Listen to the station to find out where their next event will be. Hope you are lucky and win one!

Lincoln National Forest Maps are In!!

These aren't your ordinary maps. This map of the Sacramento Ranger District on the Lincoln National Forest is printed on a perfectly functional bandana! We developed this map using the LNF forest map and the motorized vehicle map. Our bandanas are made and printed in the USA and come in safety yellow or natural. Talk about functional...you can wash them, wear them, or wad them up and shove them into your pocket. Cost of the map: $9.95. Not having to deal with folding up a humongous paper map: priceless!

Stop by the shop and get yours today. You won't find these anywhere but Mountain Monster.

A Bouquet of Colors

We did stacks of shirts for Cloudcroft business Off the Beaten Path and the shop looked like a bouquet of tee shirts had been stacked up. You should check them out...lots of colors from which to choose, and you have to love the logo! Since we're sitting here at 9000 ft. elevation, I'd say that penguin was definitely off the beaten path. BTW, don't forget to visit Mountain Monster when you make your trek up the mountain.

Bro Tanks for Quidditch

"Bro Tanks" are all the rage...or perhaps RAGENCLAW. If you see some University of Texas Quidditch players rocking one of these, just know that they have ties to Cloudcroft! And if you have never seen the mortal adaptation of Quidditch, well, you don't know what you're missing!

Support Locally-Owned Businesses

We just finished these shirts for a local who wants to spread the word about supporting locally-owned businesses (versus having large corporations/franchises come into Cloudcroft). If you would like to buy one of these shirts, just call the shop and we can hook you up.
